THE Diffuser

I am absolutely delighted with this diffuser. I never thought a home fragrance could be so intricate and intelligently crafted. This is not just a simple scent playing on one note; it is a genuine perfume with layers and nuances. It is perfectly balanced, complex yet not overwhelming, light but not flat, and absolutely heavenly and transportive, like the best masterpieces of haute perfumery. Every time I pass by, I can't help but take a whiff of its gentle aroma.

The fragrance is said to be dedicated to the tea ceremony, but to my nose, it speaks more of the garden where this tea ceremony takes place. I'm picturing a cup of light green tea with rose petals, enjoyed next to blooming peony and rose bushes after a rain shower, with drops still glistening on the leaves and the fluffy, lush flowers. Around the blooming bushes, there is freshly cut grass, pressed down by raindrops. You bite into a lychee while enjoying your tea, and the juice runs down your lips and fingers.

This is how I would describe the scent that wafts through the room. If you bring your nose close to the sticks, you can detect the freshness of a broken peony stem and the flesh of an unripe peach. Some may detect a note of bergamot, but I wouldn't say it's prominent. And yes, the scent definitely has a soft, creamy undertone, much like milk oolong tea. Does it resemble sencha tea? Perhaps there are varieties with this scent, but I have not tried them yet.

Such a haiku-like description of this scent, haha! Well, it just means that the scent does its job and helps you relax and clear your mind, as I'm writing this review sitting right in front of the diffuser.

Honestly, I would love to wear this as a perfume or hair mist. It would be one of the best peony scents in my collection.

In terms of usage, if the diffuser is meant to scent a living room, it will certainly not last for six months like the manufacturer promises. The consumption rate is quite fast for a large area. It’s been two months since I opened it, and with seven sticks, it is already half-empty. But even so, it is worth every dollar spent on it.

And last but not least, you can buy it blindly with confidence, as it will neither offend nor tire anyone, even though the fragrance is quite diffusive and airy. If I were to choose an olfactory metaphor for tenderness, freshness, and nobility, this would be THE by Culti Milano.
