Spiritcask is a well constructed, delightful, quality boozy fragrance from the charming Scottish house of Jorum Studio. It features a mix of ingredients that feel very natural and don't give me a headache like Baraonda by Nasomatto. You have several boozy notes, mainly cognac and a lighter Speyside sort of whisky and malt which synergize with a distinctive pear note which smells realistic and lovely. Chamomile and jasmine in the mix which really give this a comfy relaxing quality that reminds one even more of Scotland and the cacao and lactones give the whole creation a slight tinge of chocolate which accents the booze and pear and doesn't dominate. I am a lover of boozy fragrances and this is a favourite. Not only is it boozy and classy, it has an upbeat feeling to it. It makes the wearer feel happy. Moreso than other boozy fragrances. I own Baraonda and I much prefer this. It's more complex, less unctuous, has more personality and more joy about it. I really recommend it to anyone who enjoys boozy fragrances. It's lovely, especially if you can get it on sale (I got it with my birthday discount after planning to for some time).

I absolutely adore this scent. I originally tried a sample as part of the Jorum sample pack and fell in love. I ordered the full size bottle and I am very glad I did. I’m typically a new scent for every day and every mood so it’s a big deal when I purchase a full size bottle. I feel like this scent is universal and wearable regardless of the season. The smokiness mixed with a light subtle sweetness is everything.
