Lush green pastures tumble toward the horizon, arching beneath the imposing silhouette of a mountain range. Cumulus clouds roll across a bright blue sky, their massive shadows gliding over a peacefully grazing herd. In a corner of the meadow, a tiny calf braces quivering limbs and, with a mighty lurch, stumbles up to take its maiden steps. Its velvet snout prods, rooting at its mother, until the release of warm milk signals a satisfying welcome to this vast new world.

Cow brings to mind a bucolic scene: innocent florals sway among soft grasses, while apple gently sweetens the soft aroma of fresh milk. The result is a place both familiar and reassuring, where warm arms unfold to welcome us into a loving embrace.

Why you'll love it

We have to admit that we screamed with delight when we first got our hands on this bottle, with its portrait of a bovine dairy maid posing with the coy gravitas of the Mona Lisa. However, what awaited us inside the bottle was even more irreverent and original than we could have imagined. To us, "Cow" reinterprets what a 'fresh' scent can be. Rather than a misty spritz of citrus, herbs, or sea spray, it leaves a morning-bright, tart-then-creamy impression on the skin which recalls a world of sense memories before adult responsibilities, to a world of 'smells' before perfume. "Cow" begins as a sketch of a silky green floral, coloured in with neon tones of abstract fruit basket. The delicate creaminess comes to the foreground, keeping everything relaxed and vaguely edible, as the flowers waft and soften; the simple pleasures of a garden close to home. The fruit turns from tart to smooth, from blackberries to pear skin. Refreshing meadow air caresses a flannel-soft, barely sweet, pearlescent milk note that becomes its one-of-a-kind signature. “Cow” is somehow both a statement scent and a skin scent - that rare fragrance with a sense of humour which also feels compulsively wearable.
