Originally created for Harvey Nichols, Italica is a delicious gourmand scent that is truly irresistible.
Exquisite top notes of saffron, Sicilian almonds and silky milk notes that whisper with impossible delicacy.
In Italica, a sweet, warm heart of Bourbon vanilla and buttery toffee leads the nose to a luscious base of sandalwood, cedar wood and white musk.
Notes: saffron, almond, milky notes, vanilla, toffee, cedarwood, sandalwood, musk
The classic Xerjoff Casamorati packaging has been reimagined with a focus on sustainability, while retaining references to the Liberty style that distinguishes the brand's history.
Wow, wow, wow. Italica caught me completely off-guard. Sniffed this in-store on a recent visit to Montreal: wasn't on my radar at all since I generally don't gravitate to these notes, but Etiket staff never steer me wrong so I gave it a try.
On me the almond notes read as cherry (which I'm generally not drawn to), but they're juicy rather than medicinal and beautifully blended with the vanilla, sandalwood, and lactonic notes. Saffron often doesn't agree with my chemistry (BR540 goes screechy on my skin), but blended with the sweeter notes it's gorgeous. And long-lasting.
Really appreciate that Etiket stocks the 30ml size: since this was outside my wheelhouse I may not have committed to the 100ml. Glad to now have it in my collection!

I am still testing it out. I enjoy it enough to do five stars. But it is more biscuit like on me with a hint of almond. Though many say it is better in winter I think with my chemistry... Warmer weather may be better. Again, still testing it but I do enjoy it and would consider a full bottle. I see potentially wearing it as a end of summer scent. It gives that more toasty vibe.
