It's the very first impression when you smell Damask - its profile is so close to Delina. The main difference I find is Delina has notes of rhubarb, whereas Damask replaces that with lemon. Damask feels smoother and silkier in its romantic "fizziness," vs Delina feels happier, younger, happier (vs Damask feels content). Damask has the profile of what I'd love to be wearing if I was going on a romantic date and being proposed to; Delina would be more going out for dinner then meeting up with friends and maybe going to a bar after.
Both are lovely; while the scents are similar the houses are completely different profiles, and speak to different markets. It all depends what you're looking for. You definitely don't need both bottles in your collection!
