I feel that roses gets a bad reputation as a perfume. Quality ingredients and a skilled hand are required to pull off this captivating scent. Going in, I knew Lucid Dream was constructed around the rose, so I approached with caution.

Right away, I think that this perfume would be right at home in SL's offering (a great start!). The rose feels like it will stay strong, but quickly settles into a beautiful sweet rose that meshes into osmanthus flowers. The flowers are surrounded in a thin veil of incense and patchouly, which moves the needle into unisex fragrance territory (I feel it leans more feminine). Not my style, yet I feel great wearing it and I never get tired of this beautiful floral-oriental. It is not groundbreaking, but it is top quality and very well blended. Projection is medium to strong, longevity seems very good (I sometimes get anosmia with flowers and incense). I won't buy a full bottle, but I really did enjoy this perfume. Try it for yourself, I was very pleasantly surprised.
