Where most of the Libertine scents take their initial inspiration from a landscape, or story, Gilded started as a material exploration. The perfumer fell in love with a natural cardamom and a cinnamon co2 extract, which give a much more true-to-life impression than the essential oils of the same ingredients. The rest of the scent was built around those notes to match their vibration.

Gilded is a mysterious scent inspired by tea houses, dry woods and sticky resins. It is the meeting of sacred incense and profane wood with vibrant glowing spices hovering above. The scent blends sticky resins (frankincense and opoponax, or sweet myrrh) with with orange blossom absolute and chai spices (cinnamon, cardamom & a touch of clove). These elements are blended with a base accord of dry wood, forming a vibrating, hazy aura.

Mood: meditative, reflective, opulent.
